ECCAA is an OECS institution with responsibility for civil aviation regulation, safety and security oversight. Its work includes inspecting, investigating, monitoring and licensing aviation activity while helping member states apply harmonised international standards.

The authority also provides communications, navigation and surveillance services across the region.
